I was going through Artstation and saw these and thought it was fun. The artist is Milica Celikovic (artstation.com/artwork/N52GVN). I don't have much else to say besides this was an exercise in set dressing for me. I know set dressing for pictures it always weird because in 2D art you can play with perspective more easily and fluidly than with 3D. I also just liked the little frog dragons.
I started this because I needed something as a break during my senior project. It's a little like why I started the chess pieces. I did the cage fairly fast but it was the dropping of the corn kernels that tripped me up. I friend was showing me a little bit of houdini so I managed to duplicate and drop the kernels with some tips from my friend. It was getting out just the dropped kernels that proved to be difficult. Eventually, Allen managed to get just the one frame out for me and shortly after senior production picked up and I was working on that more. I picked it up again because I was determined to finish it and I enjoy the design.
