This is that thing that you remember that everything has. It's great (sarcasm). Anyways, this is near the tail-ish end of animation and we as a group realized the characters were still missing their eyebrows and lashes. It's a little less important for our troll character but the humans definitely need them.
We don't have a ton of man-power to spare so I took on the task of adding the eyelashes and brows. I also hooked the blinks up to a control to make it somewhat easier for the animators to move them. I made some blank groups when I added the eyelashes and brows because I had to hook them directly to the rig. Theoretically, if it was causing problems for the animators to use someone could easily unhook the geometry because they're just grouped. That way when it needed to be finalized we could just rehook it up and the parts would still move.
This was the slightly messy screenshot of the layout of the controls. Most of my time was spent figuring out how to actually do the eyelashes and brows. After I googled I figured it would be easiest to make the eyelashes with planes and the brows with grass-like geometry.
I worked on this April 14th to 15th. The 16th had some work with troll because he looked bad with actual eyelashes. I asked some groupmates and we went with the slight darkening around the eyes to display the eye area.
